The Nerazzurri President has hailed the English Football Association’s decision to appoint the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 boss as their new manager.
Inter Milan President, Massimo Moratti, is delighted with Roy Hodgson’s appointment as the England National team boss.
Hodgson signed a four-year contract with the Three Lions on Tuesday, May 1st, and will replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello as the new boss. The current West Bromwich Albion boss has managed Inter Milan in two spells in the past, and Moratti states that the club has a strong bonding with the tactician.
The decision to appoint Hodgson as the new England manager took everybody by surprise, as Harry Redknapp was touted as the main favourite to take over the managerial role. However, Moratti is not surprised by the former Fulham manager’s appointment, and believes that the FA have made a perfect decision.
In a statement issued to the club’s official website, Moratti heaped praise on the 64-year-old, and claimed that Hodgson worked with extreme dedication and honesty in his two stints with Inter. He helped the club in finishing runners-up in the 1997 UEFA Cup

Hodgson’s first real test will be the Euro 2012, which is due to be played in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 in June 2012. The veteran tactician will resign from his WBA post after the final game of the Premier League season.
The former Crystal Palace defender joined the Baggies in February 2011 after he replaced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo. He has led the Hawthorns side to a decent league season, as they are placed on the 10th spot in the points table.
Capello recently resigned as the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 manager after falling out with English FA. The Italian managed the Three Lions for almost four years.
