The oil baron went on to state that the club had got a great bunch of players in the squad full of potential but said they need to balance European football as well.

Massimo Moratti went on to explain that despite the negatives, the aim of the side and the coach should be to work on their weaknesses and look ahead. The oil baron reflected on the talent that the team had and stated that it was not a case of the squad
not being talented enough, but that of time; as he felt that the team would get better after playing together more often.
He commented that it was not easy to immediately gel together as a team, and remarked:
“Our potential – both in terms of individuals and the team as whole – is still very real, it's just a case of gradually translating that into good performances, one game at a time.”
While taking on the subject of their European endeavours so far, Moratti pointed out that a reason behind such a humbling was the fact that the team was tired by their mid week excursions in Europe.
He remarked that they need to work on their stamina, while mentioning:
“One of the things we have to get used to is playing the Europa League on a Thursday which will make things physically difficult for the players. We need to look at ways of ensuring the lads come into games feeling fresh on a Sunday.”
The game against Vaslui ended in a draw, with the score finishing at 2-2.
