The Internazionale chief executive has reflected on the changing times at the club and is hopeful that they can leave the disappointment of last year behind them.

There have been many factors to their decline in form and consistency, and many have credited Moratti with their downfall, claiming that he never expressed faith in most of his managers.

Ranieri’s tenure at the club could be described as constituting of two halves, one great and the other terrible. Upon his arrival, he propelled the team to the upper tier of the table following an impressive streak of a seven-match unbeaten run. However,
his second half at Inter was the exact opposite with Inter winning only one of his last ten matches. This prompted the severance of ties between the two parties and Ranieri resigned from his post.
The third change was Andrea Stramaccioni who came in at the tail end of last season when Inter were in danger of finishing mid table. However, Stramaccioni revived the team’s spirits and turned around their fortunes, and Inter finished in the sixth position
of the Lega.
When Moratti was quizzed how the team morale was after such a topsy-turvy season, he went on to state:
“They're all up for it, happy to start again and very keen to be successful.”
The oil baron reflected on any change in the mood inside the Beneamata camp, and he was very optimistic when he replied:
“Is there a feeling of change in the air? Have we moved on? Yes, we need to move on, although it's all relative because we have players here who have made history at the club and who are still part of it today.”
Stramaccioni was permanently appointed following his impressive display as the head coach.
