The Beneamata chief warns that only the players who are worthy of the Nerazzurri jersey will stay at the club; insists he is yet to confirm Andrea Stramaccioni for the next season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan President Massimo Moratti has hinted that a hurricane is headed towards the Nerazzurri squad, and insists that only the best will survive the transfer season.
The Beneamata are expected to make several changes to their squad, after a dismal season that saw them finish sixth.
The President insisted that the Milan outfit requires a new start, and the plan for that will be developed in the near future.
The Biscione chief stated that the teams are not re-built in a matter of days, and insisted that the summer transfer window offers adequate time for the club to evaluate the available opportunities, and see what can be done with
them.
The Nerazzurri executive insisted that things will start with the confirmation of a manager, and move to the selection of players from the existing squad.
While talking to the press, the 66-year-old said:
“The plan for the re-start? Now we'll see, gradually. It's not as if we'll do it all today. Now we have a period in which we can reflect on the opportunities that are there and what we can do. Will we start with the confirmation
of Coach Andrea Stramaccioni and defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Ranocchia-c5708? Add someone else and then we are done,” he smiled. “We'll start by confirming those who deserve to stay.”
The San Siro giants started the campaign with their eyes on the Scudetto, but their dreary season saw them change three managers, and barely scratch a Europa League qualification from the season.
Moratti insisted that more than anything else, it was the choices that affected their campaign, and insisted that the management has learnt a lot from the mistakes made this season.
The Nerazzurri boss stated that the principal reason behind their fall is that the choices they made, did not work out well for them.
However, he admitted that despite the disappointing results, the players gave their best in the league.
