The Nerazzurri president hints that a UEFA Champions League qualification can extend the young coach’s stay with the senior side.
Massimo Moratti has suggested that Stramaccioni may continue as Inter Milan manager into the next season, if the team manages to win a place in the next edition of the European tournament.

of the final European qualification spot in the league.
Moratti has now suggested that the elite tournament is the objective of the team for the season, and reaching there could give the young manager a more vital lifeline at the club.

strategy in the game.

“That's one way to look at it - it's always good to set objectives because it's a motivation to constantly do better. The maths for reaching third also depend on the results, so we'll see. Yesterday's test [at Udinese] was a good
one, certainly very good on the part of the Coach above all, and on the part of the players who expressed themselves exactly how the Coach wanted.”
Moratti refrained from announcing his verdict on Stramaccioni, suggesting that the oblivion will help the team as well as the players to do their best in the remaining matches. However, he hinted that the future of Stramaccioni
hangs in the balance, and his opinion could tip either way depending on the performance of the team in the remaining matches.
