The Inter Milan President has not hidden his desire to sign the burgeoning talent for the San Siro outfit; however, he has pulled out after PSG came in for him.
Inter Milan had been tracking the youngster since quite some time and the race for the Brazilian’s signature only seemed to have two horses in the running, with Manchester United and Inter Milan bidding for the player.
Manchester United bid of 27 million Euros was reportedly rejected by Sao Paolo; who have been holding out for a bid in the range of 30 million Euros for the young rising star. Inter Milan had been keeping tabs on the player as well, and reports suggested
that Moura was keener on joining the Beneamata giants than the Red Devils.
However, after Sao Paolo began haggling for money, Moratti made it clear that he would not be forced into breaking the bank for the teenager. Manchester United have been more offensive in their bidding, and are looking to stamp their authority.
Amidst the battle for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567; the Ligue 1 outfit, Paris Saint-Germain has joined in the bidding war and stated their intent with a 45 million Euros bid for the starlet.
Massimo Moratti has been taken aback by the bid and states that there is no point in going in a pointless battle as they would never be willing to part ways with that much money. He went on to state that the club holds no disappointments as the price of
the player was extremely high.
During his interview to the Sky Sport Italia, he went on to state:
“We would never have gone up to that sum. In any case, there are no regrets that we didn’t finish off the move, as the cost was already pretty high a few days ago.”
Lamenting the price being paid for the player, Moratti went on to state:
“The €45m that PSG offered are completely illogical and for us it would’ve been very out of key with our approach. PSG are starting a new era, so they are completely reconstructing the squad. At least I can relish the fact I’m saving money...”
With Inter out of the race, it would be interesting to note if Manchester United join the bidding war for the player.
