Question:

Massive back pain, do I need to see a doctor?

Well, I have massive back pain from time to time. I have a little history from what MAY be the cause. First, about 2 or 3 years ago I flew off a swing which grabbed my shirt and I landed on my butt, hard. Something popped and I screamed, but walked it off. About a year after, I flew off a little dirt bike and managed to walk that off too. Without a helmet! I don't have insurance, and no one I know of will see me without me having money upfront. The pain is in the lower part of my back, a little above my crack, and recently started in the upper part now! I can't take this pain anymore, but being in a 10$ an hour job and paying rent, it's hard! Any suggestions could help. Especially a doctor that will do it in payments.

  1. if you can't get insurance, order tramadol off of the internet. i use it for a ruptured disc, it works well.

  2. Go see your doctor. I don't know anything about the U.S. medical system but surely there must be some public health care that the government provides for those that can't afford it. Your problem sounds like a slipped disc that may need surgery otherwise you could be making it worse by trying to hide the pain. Believe me it won't go away. 25 years ago I was being a hero clearing heavy logs by lifting them by myself just like the Hulk, I thought nothing would happen. I slipped fell backwards with the log landing on me. It hurt like h**l and stunned me so much I didn't move for maybe 30 minutes. Next morning I had a bruise and slight pain so I though everything was okay. I got away with it for almost ten years when one day I was shifting bricks and overloaded the wheelbarrow which tipped and knocked me over. This time the doctor had to be called to give me an injection so I could get to hospital and had surgery on my lower back to repair a ruptured disc. After the surgery the doctor told me that the damage was severe enough that it was a miracle I wasn't paralyzed. Moral of the story is don't wait pain is nature's warning sign. And don't take any advice from untrained persons especially about pain killers as some of them can have serious side effects if taken for a long time.
