Master Cynk and Boyfromnowhere aiming second seasonal strikes in the Walters UK Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race
The Class 6 Walters UK Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race is to be staged at Ffos Las over two miles on Thursday, 29th March. The race will be contested for by twelve four-year to five-year-old thoroughbreds. The purse for the winner is set
at £1, 365.
None on the lineup have ever raced at Ffos Las before and in that regard they all stand on the same page but there are those too who will be racing their career debuts. At least four are such who have never raced before. Two on the lineup have already bagged
their seasonal debuts.
Master Cynk, Diableneyev’s five-year-old chestnut gelding out of mare Model View, has already raced the career debut and has won it too.
Master Cynk won the Southwell-Racecourse.Co.UK Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race on 4th January at Southwell over two miles. Riding with Paddy Brennan, Master Cynk led the track by a length. Dunlough Bay followed the closest while settling
into the third slot was Cut The Cards.
The 9/4 favourite of the race, Dunraven Prince, ended fifth on the lineup of eight.
The five-year-old has not raced for more than two months and is in form to get the challenge today right under his belt. Striking victory in the seasonal debut and then resting for a while has made Master Cynk the most reliable entry on the lineup.
Another entry who has struggled to stamp the seasonal victory is Boyfromnowhere, Old Vic’s five-year-old brown gelding out of mare Eist Do Gale, he posted a victory through the second start of the 2012 season.
He finished fifth in the Tattersalls Ireland 5YO Geldings Maiden on 15th January at Killeagh over three miles. The race was won by Captain Canada.
The 7/4 favourite of the race, Indian Outlook, ended up getting disqualified from the race.
Boyfromnowhere did not wait long for finally nailing a race, he won the Tattersalls Ireland 5YO Geldings maiden on 29th January at Nenagh over three miles. Riding with J. T. McNamara, Boyfromnowhere won on the track of eight.
Both want to aim their second victory of the season through the chance that they are exposed to today and thus are bound to give each other a hard time.
