Recently he visited the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield and made some important announcement about the World Snooker Tour.
According to the newly added changes in the snooker season, the Masters Snooker tournament will be held at the Alexandra Palace in London for the next three years. World Snooker made this decision after a tremendous success of the event this season at the
same venue.
Speaking to the media about the new decision, Hearn said, “We are thrilled to sign this new three year agreement to keep the Masters at Alexandra Palace. It is a fantastic venue and moving this elite invitation event there was a spectacular success. I have
no doubt that the fans will flock to north London again to see the very best players in the world.”
Meanwhile, the winner of the 2012 Masters snooker tournament, Neil Robertson added, “I think all of the top players are delighted that the Masters has moved to Ally Pally. It's a big arena with 1,500 seats and when it was full it was really buzzing. It was
the best atmosphere I've ever played in apart from the world final.”
Robertson shows outstanding performance in the 2012 Masters Snooker event and reached the final encounter of the competition where he faced the former World Snooker Champion, England’s Shaun Murphy in the final and was able to beat him by the score line
of 10-6 to lift the Masters title.
The Masters Snooker tournament is a major ranking event and is considered to be the second biggest snooker showdown in the world after the World Snooker Championship.
It is also a part of the snooker’s Triple Crown along with the World Snooker Championship and the UK Championship. The event features top guns of snooker every year and bears total prize money of £150,000.
