  1. what country???

If it is Canada, I would go with no.  To work in Canada you need to be a member of the Professional Engineers, I am in Ontario so I am a member of the PEO.  There are many requirements that must be filled but the initial is education.  They accept in most general cases a B.Eng.  They do not care if you have a masters.  There are up to 16 exams you can take at their discretion to make up for uncovered areas with schooling.  If you are from Canada I would call/email and get the official word on it.

I am unsure of what professional aeronautics are to be honest with you.  Do you have your commercial rating then?  I am a pilot in Canada as well (although at the PPL level).  Is it an actual engineering course?  If it is Canada and not an engineering course I doubt you will be accepted into any M.A.Sc program for engineering.

I know things are somewhat similarly run in the USA and I'm sure someone else could chime in for South of the border.

  2. I work as a full time aviation engineer in America. I design aircraft for the military and I don't have a Master's degree. Here I just needed a bachelor's degree and a decent grade point average. You don't need a master's degree, professional registration or even a bachelors in aerospace to work designing aircrafts. My bachelors is in electrical engineering and I still have a job in the aviation field. Mechanical and structural engineering degrees are all tied to aviation design
