http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s Juan Mata has gone on to insist that he is very disappointed with the way his side performed in the finals of the Club World Cup, as they went on to lose a game that they should have easily won.
The Blues took on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Corinthians-c38855 in the final game of the competition, as they looked to pick up a trophy at this stage in the season.
However, their party was cut short as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paolo-Guerrero-c29087 went on to score for Corinthians in the second half, which proved to be the only goal of the game.
As a result, Chelsea went on to crash out of the contest, after having come so far.
Mata has admitted that his sides poor performances in from of goal led to them losing the game, and while writing in his blog about the game, the Spaniard is quoted to have said: "It couldn't be done”
"The dream of becoming the club world champions vanished with the final whistle."
“I had a feeling that we were close to clinching the trophy; that we created enough chances to, at least, score; that, although our performance was not brilliant, we were competitive until the very end.”

"In fact, it was their goalkeeper, Cassio, who was awarded man of the match thanks to those saves I'm talking about. We knew that Corinthians was a great team: a very physical and competitive side."
"It's a tough moment, especially for the Chelsea fans that came to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 and those who were supporting us from home," Mata continued.
Having suffered the loss, Chelsea will now be travelling back to try and start winning games locally. The team is currently looking to be on a downward spiral, and the time for them to step back up and prove their worth is now or never.
Rafa Benitez needs to get his team to win their next game rather convincingly, or it could cause the Blues fans to rebel against him once gain.
Nonetheless, it is now going to be down to the team and the manager to prove their worth, as they need to do something dramatic to win the fans over.
