Match-fixing or spot-fixing are not just http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s problems, feels Aamer Sohail – Cricket News Update
Former Pakistani captain and left-handed opening batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Aamer-Sohail-c41418, has expressed that match-fixing or spot-fixing is not merely a problem of Pakistan cricket and cricketers from all across the world have been involved in this menace.
Pakistan cricket faced a massive tragedy last year when three of its leading players, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Asif-c1993 were caught involved in bowling deliberate no-balls and the trio was later banned and sentenced to jail.
However, this is not the first time an International cricketer has been banned due to involvement in corruption. Former international captains, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Wessel-Johannes-Cronje-c96502 were also banned from all forms of competitive cricket, whereas a number
of other players from different countries have been banned or fined as well.
Sohail said, “Regarding the trio who are serving prison sentences in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, I don’t for a minute believe that they are the only cricketers involved in this and I don’t for a minute believe that this is just a Pakistani problem.”
The former left-handed batsman believes that the International Cricket Council (ICC) needs to take appropriate actions to eradicate this evil from the game of cricket and said that it would extremely harsh to just blame Pakistan in this regard.
While talking about the situation of domestic cricket in the country, Aamer said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should do its best to make sure that the domestic cricketers get permanent jobs in different departments.
“The Pakistan Cricket Board are not blameless in this situation either and they need to investigate this thoroughly. In the past cricketers in Pakistan would get permanent jobs in the departments and players who played for Associations would just get their
daily allowances,” former Pakistan captain added.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Vinod-Ganpat-Kambli-c95376 is proof
that all the major teams have been involved in fixing in past. It is about time that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 starts to take this matter seriously rather than just blaming a particular cricket board or nation.
