Valery Reinhold has urged Zenit St. Petersburg’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 to improve his work rate in the upcoming Euro 2012 game against Poland
The Russian national team will lock horns with the Polish national team in their second group stage match at Stadion Narodowy
on Tuesday. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Czech-Republic-c2882.
As things stand, Russia are at the top spot in the group A table as the other two teams in their respective group witnessed a draw in the opening game of the European tournament. Poland held http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Greece-c2908 1-1 at Stadion Narodowy on Friday.
Former Spartak Moscow player, Valery Reinhold, has conceded that the upcoming match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 holds immense importance as it will decide the fate of the group A. He added that the match officials will play a big role in the
upcoming group stage match.
“The game will be heavy. Czech Republic had already fallen off and it looks that Poland have beat Russia in order to progress to the next round. Plus, the Poles are playing at home. I hope the referees play their part well enough
as we have seen that ugly refereeing in the opening group stage game between Poland and Greece.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Speaking on Russia’s opening group stage game against the Narodaks, Reinhold has conceded that Zenit St. Petersburg’s Andrei Arshavin needs to improve his work rate as the 30-year-old winger was missing on the field much of the
game.
Though the UEFA Cup winner had created some dangerous moments in attack for his side in the start, his contributions were very little in the second-period.
Reinhold has conceded that Arshavin, who returned to the St. Petersburg on-loan from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 during the winter transfer window, has a huge responsibility on his shoulders and he needs to work harder if he is to lead Russia to the
later stages of the continental tournament.
“The English club has sent him back to Russia after these kind of poor performances. He needs to play with the team in attack and defence.” Reinhold concluded.
