Match the dealer in spanish 21?

So I have been learning how to count cards using the HI-LO system and I am doing pretty good up $535 since I started playing blackjack, but I recently tried playing spanish 21 and while I know side bets are not usually the smartest move I decided to play them I ended up playing the match the dealer and luckly walked away with $290 extra dollars in my pocket. I know I got lucky this time so I just wanted to know if there is any way I can use card counting to help give me an advantage over the house on side bets.

No.. Not really.. Just remember in Spanish 21 there are no 10s. Take that into consideration when doing your + - thing.

  Counting is much better on regular black jack. If you follow the aces for example.. and it's coming to the end of the shoe..

and there is a bunch of them left.. Then ya might play the match.. The side bet on Spanish 21 has a huge house advantage.. something like 24%..

Absolutley, side bets can be an exelent addition to your card counting and shuffle tracking arsenal of casino destruction.

Unfortunately that particular side bet is not particularly vulnerable,  In a conventional balckajck game a true count above +13 or below -13 will trigger positive ev for the match the dealer bet,  True counts thiw high almost never occur in shoe games making that bet essentially unbeatable, in spanish 21 that numebr will probibly be slightly less due to the absense of tens, howvere, its still too high to be beaten.

In case you arnt already aware, spanish 21 is an entirely different game form blackjack, and while it can be beaten by counting cards, the playing stategy is ENTIRELY different and so is the counting strategy.   To learn more about sp21 buy the book on it by katrina walker

Lucky ladies is a side bet that can be beaten, so is the over/under bet,  Though usually you wont be able to place bets on them, whenever the oportunity does present itself, you will be there to jump on it, and it only means more money in your pocket in the long run, even if it is only a tiny amount more.  

I personally liek the lucky ladies bet because of its 1000:1 payout, when the count detects and advantage, its like playing a slot machine that actually has odds in your favor with alarmingly high return rates.  

Bottom line, some sidebets are beatable, but for this one, youll be lucky if you get to place one +ev bet on it in your entire lifetime.  The highest true count i ever saw in a 6 deck shoe was +12, it lasted for one hand, and even then i couldnt have placed that bet, in an 8 deck game +10 is the highest i ever saw.
