Parrott clinched the title beating Mark Williams 6-4 in the final.
Snooker Championship League 2011 Winners Group
Both Williams and Selby were promoted to the winners group of Snooker Championship League 2011, as they won the final matches of their respective groups. Selby led group one and Williams topped the second group. They played their winners-group match on Wednesday,
March 23, 2011, where Williams trashed Selby convincingly by 3-1.
The Welshman, Williams, got an early 1-0 lead as he swept the table 76-28 in the first frame. The English cueist, Selby, equalised the game scores at 1-1, after he grabbed the second frame 33-84 with a decent small break of 33.
The former double world champion, Williams, finished the game easily taking back-to-back frames with frame scores of 75-0 and 63-24, respectively, after he pocketed two cracking breaks of 54 and 62 in the respective frames. The overall frame scores of the
match were 76-28 (Williams 51), 33-84 (Selby 33), 75-0 (Williams 54), 63-24 (Williams 62).

Mark James Williams
Mark J Williams occupies the Number One spot in the world snooker 2010-11 rankings, revised after the World Snooker Championship 2011. He also holds the number six spot in the PTC order of merit 2010-11. So far, he has grabbed 18 ranking titles including
two world championships (2000 and 2003).
The 36-year-old Welsh cueist has participated in 61 matches of ranking events in the 2010-11 season, which includes two walk-overs. He holds a match winning percentage of 72.1 percent, as he has won 44 matches in the season. His frame winning rate is 61.3
percent, because he could grab only 279 frames out of the 455 he played in this season.
Mark Anthony Selby
English cueist, Mark Selby, also known as The Jester from Leicester and Mark the Shark, has won only one ranking event in his professional career, which is the 2008 Welsh Open. He is ranked at Number Three in the world snooker 2010-11 rankings, revised after
the World Snooker Championship 2011 and also is at the number two spot in the PTC order of merit 2010-11.
Selby played a total of 75 matches in the current season’s ranking tournaments and won 56 out of them. His match winning percentage is 74.4 percent, while his frame winning ratio is 62.1 percent, as he clinched 323 frames out of the 520 he played during
this season.
Williams and Selby then headed towards China to participate in the China Open 2011, which was played on March 27, 2011. Williams was defending the title which he won from Chinese, Ding Junhui, in 2010. The event took place at the Peking University Students
Gymnasium in Beijing, China.
Both cueists could have met in a potential semi-final clash in the tournament, but Williams crashed out in the very first round of the event, when he lost to Stephen Lee 4-5. However, Selby played outstandingly well in the tournament and reached the final,
where he lost to Judd Trump by 8-10.
