Bridesmaid dresses are yellow, does the tuxedo vest NEED to be yellow?

My other colour is a light (sage) green....could I do the vests in green?

I have always seen matching pieces...

  1. No, do either green or yellow, or you can do another complimentary colour-something else you're using for your wedding.

  2. It's fine to have the tuxedos in the green.  I think that would look better than the yellow.  Maybe you could find a way to incorporate the green into the bridesmaids outfits? i.e. a sash, wrap, or flower in the hair

  3. If the bridesmaids dresses are yellow, their vest should be yellow! It would  look off to me if they got on Black suits with green vests and then they have on yellow dresses! The uniform look is better to me!

  4. You don't have to, but you can get ties with those colours in them with matching cuff link.

  5. maybe u can match the ties with the dresses...

  6. It's very girly and men don't have to wear a coordinating color; that's very 80's. You/your fiance should visit the tux store to let them offer suggestions.

  7. you could always have a green vest with a yellow tie

  8. Just my opinion, but the whole matching the dresses w/ the tuxes looks really high-school prom/dated to me. I would just use a plain (or textured) black vest, and use the boutennier flowers to co-ordinate w/ the girls.  Maybe a yellow rose boutenniere or a white rose w/ an unopened bud (usually light green on color).
