  1. I guess that I am missing something: Is this difficult?

    On the left is 78 operator (25 operator 9)

    on the right everything is preceded by 78.

    Multiplication is distributive over addition, so take 78*

    now make (25 operator 9) the same as 20 operator 5 operator 9

    So maybe

    20 + 5 operator 9

    78 * (25 + 9) = 78 * 20 + 78 * 5 + 78 * 9

    78 * (25 - 9) = 78 * 20 + 78 * 5 - 78 * 9

    Maybe you can prove there are no others with normal precedence rules?

    Or have I misunderstood?

  2. 78 [25-9] = 78x20+78+5-78-9{-78 and +78 will be cancelled  and 20 and 5 will be added and this should be subtracted by 9}

    78x16 = 78x25-9

    78x16 =78x16

    1248=1248

    ps:you can also add 25 and 9

    hope i helped you.toodles!

  3. 78*(25-9)=78*20+78*5-78*9
