  1. x- (-2/3) = 5/6

    x + 2/3 = 5/6    the double negative makes it a positive

    x = -2/3 + 5/6   to isolate the x, you would have to subtract 2/3 from

                           both sides of the equation.

    x = -4/6 + 5/6   find the least common denominator

    x = 1/6             here is ur answer

  2. all you really need to do is get a common denominator

    x - (- 2/3) = 5/6

    x - (- 4/6) = 5/6

    x + 4/6 = 5/6

    x = 5/6 - 4/6

    x = 1/6

  3. x - (-2/3) = 5/6

    x + 2/3 = 5/6

    x = 5/6 - 2/3

    x = 5/6 - 4/6

    x = 1/6

  4. x+2/3 =5/6

    x+2/3 -2/3 = 5/6 -2/3

    x+2/3 -2/3 = 5/6 -4/6

    x = 1/6
