Math Brain Blitz for geniuses!!! hihi!! 10 points~!?

A group of students were asked to choose among 3 bands namely DL, SC, H.

21 prefers DL, 23 prefers SC, 10 prefers DL or H but not SC.

14 pREfers DL or SC but not H.

12 prefers SC but not DL, or H but not DL.

3 prefers H but not DL or SC

while 8 prefers SC but not DL or H.

Further, 17 prefers at least 2 of the bands while 37 prefers at most 1 of the bands.

How many students prefer DL or SC and H or SC?

  1. this is not a math problem so much as it is a grammar trick question. by using the word prefers instead of prefer, each number refers to one student.  i didn't do the math, but the point is, each number counts, regardless of what the number is, counts as one person ;)


  2. it is that d**n set theory and venn diagram stuffs.i m not your teacher.ask your teacher however i can solve it by union and integration but it will take a lot of time

  3. You should draw a Venn Diagram.  You know how to do that, right?  It is in your textbook.
