  1. 5.27

    4.13

  2. Um, if you buy 5 pounds of the cheaper stuff it will be less than $19, but the other brand she can't buy 5 pounds.

  3. a + b =5

    a(3.6) + b(4.6) =19

    b = 5-a

    3.6a + (5-a)4.6 = 3.6a +23 -4.6a =19

    23 - a =19 so a =4

    so 4 pounds of the cheap candy, 1 pound of the expensive candy

    check it, 4 times 3.60 plus 1 times 4.60 equals 19

  4. She can buy 4 lb. of the 3.60 chocolate and 1 lb. of the 4.60 chocolate.

  5. 1pound of $4.60 n 4 pounds of $3.60...it totals up to $19..

    ^_^..
