I want to prepare for my program I applied for, what math stuff should I go over?

  1. You should have particularly strong skills in geometry, including trigonometry and coordinate geometry.  Very sophisicated CNC maching work can involve surfaces requiring higher mathematics, even calculus, but usually the level of mathematics required for most ordinary CNC jobs can be handled with a  good high school math background.


  2. Geometry, Trigonometry, and probable some Vectorial analysis. However, something important here is to develop a solid understanding of Windows and the software package you will be using to develop the code. Most of the new software packages run on a windows based Computer where  you develop the code, simulate  it and then send it to the CNC machine trough a communications port.  I  hope this helps.
