  1. Multiply.

    1.8y+16

    2. 9m+9

    3. 8a+12b

  2. 1. 8y + 16

    2. 9m + 9

    3. 8a + 12b

Multiply the number outside of the parenteses with each number or variable inside.

  3. all you do is multiply the outside by the inside 1. 8(y+2) that would be 8y+16
