Your average speed during a trip is 40 miles per hour. Write a linear function that models the distance you travel d(t) as a function of t, the time spent traveling?

I think the answer is D = 40T but I'm not sure. Is this the answer or not? if not what is the right answer?

Yes, the correct answer is d(t) = 40t where t is the time spent traveling.  Make sure you don't use capitals because they mean different things than the lower case letters.
