solve: 1/2(4x + 3) = 3/2(5x - 1)

I THINK the answer is x = 6/11

If I'm wrong, please explain your answer.

  1. 1/2(4x+3) = 3/2(5x-1)

    4x + 3 = 15x - 3 (multiply both sides by 2)

    6 = 11x

    x = 6/11


  2. Multiply through by 2.

    4x + 3 = 15x - 3

    11x = 6

    x = 6/11
