An electronics manufacturer can produce and sell "x" radios per week. The total cost "C" (in dollars) for producing "x" radios is

C= 73x + 25,000

and the total revenue "R" (in dollars) is

R= 95x

Find the profit "P" obtained by selling 5000 radios per week.

Can you please show your work, I don't know how to do this problem.

  1. Cost      = 73($5000.00)+25000.00

                 = $390,000.00

    Revenue = 95($5000.00)

                 = $475,000.00

    Profit     = Revenue - Cost

                = $475,000.000 - $390,000.00

                = $85,000.00

  2. Profit would be revenue minus cost   P  =  R  -  C

    P  =  95x - (73x +25,000)

    P  = 95x - 73x - 25,000

    P = 22x - 25,000

    substitute 5000 for x

    P = 22 * 5000 - 25,000

    P = 110,000 - 25,000

    P = 85,000

    Not a bad week, IMO
