Math Problem!! Help please!!?

Jen was the leading scorer on her soccer team. She scored 120 goals and had 20 assists in her high school career.

A. The number n of points awarded for goals is given by 2g where g is the number of goals scored. How many points did Jen earn for goals?

B. The point total is given by n + a where a is the number of assists. Use your answer from part a to find Jen's point total.

we have g=120 because she scored 120 goals now that we know this we can set up the equation

2*120=n or n=240 (120 multiplied by 2)

so jenn earned 240 points for goals

to find out how many total points we take the number we found for n (240) and substitute it into the the second problem

she had 20 assists so total points = 240+20

so jenn's point total was 260 points
