Math Problem ! Help ! ?

Question

The question is 20 % of _ = 8

and _ % of 16 = 12

_ % of 24 = 6 Please Write a method for solving these problems for my son he is in 4th grade so write an easy one !! please The _ means blank where u have to fill the answer

Think of the first one as 0.2x = 8, so you will have to divide 8 by 0.2 to get the answer.

The second one is 16x=12. You will need to divide 12 by 16 to find a decimal, then convert that to a percentage.

Last one, 24x=6, follow same method as the second problem.

the pattern always is the number after the = divided by the number after of = decimal

decimal x 100 = %

8 / ___ = .2 , __ = 8/.2 =40

12/16 = 3/4 =.75, 75%

6/24 =1/4 =.25, 25%

hence

(20/100 )*x=8

x=8*100/20

x=8*5

x=40

(x/100)*16=12

x/100=12/16

x=12*100/16

x=75

3. _ % of 24 = 6

(x/100)*24=6

x=6*100/24

x=25
