  1. You may want to try a new curriculum if your child is having trouble.  Try teaching textbooks or chalkdust:

    Hope this helps!

  2. The best that I know is MathUSee.com.  There are drills, pretests for different level books, you can purchase a video with your workbook.

Saxon math also has video instruction with its math program.  You can buy Saxon Math curriculum from CBD.com.

  3. Teaching Textbooks is a curriculum that also acts as a "tutor in the computer".

Here are some good math help sites:

Also, as part of Cosmeo's subscription, you also receive access to Nutshell Math, which is correlated to most math textbooks.

  4. Try going to the website of Saxon Publishing.  I'm not sure if they offer online help, but I do know they have some of the best home-schooling Math books around.  I've taught for 23 years and found it to be the best.  It's a book that continually builds on your skills, firmly giving you a nice foundation with plenty of review.  Your time might be better used in a good textbook rather than a software program.  One software company that you might take a look at is PLATO... yet I have found it somewhat pricey for individuals.  Our school has it and it seems to meet our needs.  Another website that might offer some help is www.alternativeeducationbible.com

  5. Aleks math!  http://www.aleks.com  There is even a one month free trial for homeschoolers! And it's a great program with no busy work. It uses artifical intelligence-students only work on concepts that they don't understand. I think your 9th grader will love it! My kids, ages 14,16, have use it for 2 years.

    Warm Regards,

great website.  From basic math to calculus
