Math U See?

Question

We've been using Math U see since December and we Love, LOVE, LOVE it! I was just wondering about all the others who use it. Do you let your child watch the video and then go for it or do you watch it then teach them?

I have yet to even open the teachers Manuel to work with my oldest on because she doesn't seem to need the help after she watches the lesson. She just opens the student work book does one or 2 lessons and is ready for the test!

Yes, we love it too! My s13 yr old son watches the dvd by himself and then goes for it in the workbook. sometimes he will do up to three units a day! Mind you, as he gets to the harder end of the book, it slows down to 1 or 2 pages a day. but he is keen. I always get him to do the whole unit, even if he finds it REALLY easy, as it builds his confidence, ready for the harder bits! I think i have had to look at the teacher manual once since starting MUS last November - but i am not surprised, as I think the dvds are excellent adn the teaching is so clear and uncomplicated. i never understood maths as a child, and i already know more than i did back then, as my son tells me all about it!
