  2. BEDMAS (this is the BASIC/BASE of many algebraic equations and problems...it demonstrates in which order problems need to be solved)

    Brackets

    Exponents

    Division/Multplication

    Addition/Subtraction

    here we go:

did u miss an opening bracket in the first problem? that would make a difference...but I'll solve it anyways

    5-2*3+9+1

    5-6+9+1

    9

    6-2(9)+6

    6-18+6

    -6

  4. 5-2*3+3^2+1

    5-2*3+9+1

    5-6+9+1

    9

    6-2(4+5)+6

    6-2(9)+6

    6-18+6

    -6

  5. 5-2*3+3^2+1

    =5-6+9+1

    =-1+9+1

    =9

    6-2(4+5)+6

    =6-8-10+6

    =-6

  7. 1.)    5-2*3+3^2+1 could also be written as 5-2x3+(3)(3)+1, therefore

            5-2X3+9+1

            5-6+10

            -1+10

            9    Answer

    2.)    6-2(4+5)+6  Do the ones in the parenthesis first;

            6-2(9)+6      Also, 6-8-10+6 (multiplying -2*4 & -2*5 !

            6-18+6                                                -8-10 = -18

            -6  Answer

  8. First do the Stuff in the brackets then you always multipy and divide first, secondly you add and subtract.

    3^2=3*3

    2*3=6

    5-2*3+3^2+1

    5-6+(3*3)+1

    5-6+9+1

    -1+9+1
