Math for airline pilot interview?

What kind of math will I need to know for an airline pilot interview? Example problems are appreciatied. Is the book, "Mental Math for Pilots" recommended?

  1. Sometimes they ask rate of descent questions.

    On an approach with the missed approach point at the threshold, at MDA when would you be at about a 3º  slope to the runway (if no VDP is charted)?  The answer has to do with the HAA divided by 10.  That's about how many seconds would be left if you were timing the approach.  (That's for 113 knots, so if you're faster or slower than that the time would be proportionally a little more more or less).
