Find the stationary point(s) on the following curve and determine its nature:

f(x)=x(x-3)^2

    i shall help you however i shall not do it for you.

    okay so basically...

    - find dy/dx ( or  f ' (x) - depends how you write it )

    - put dy/dx equal to 0 and then solve to find the x co-ordinates of any turning points

    - sub in x co-ordinates to find the y co-ordinates

    to determine nature-

    -find d2y/dx2  (or f '' (x))

    - sub in the x co-ordinates

    -if its >0 then its a min point

    - if its <0 then its min point
