Hi I'm reviewing for summer and I don't get how to solve this proof. Thanks!

In regular pentagon ABCDE, draw diagonal AC. Prove that segments AC and DE are parallel.

  1. You would have to draw the pentagon segment AE, and line AC, with the AE segment extended slightly, so that it looks like 2 lines crossing. Then draw pentagon segment ED in place, with the lines slightly extended. Now you can show alternate interior angles, which have the same degree measurement, which makes the two lines parallel.
