Please help me figure these out. If possible please show work so i can see how they are done.

1) Simplify using only positive exponents- ((3x^2)^-1)/(6x^-3)

2) In complete sentences explain the domain and range of a function

3) A closed box with a square base of side (x) a height (y) has a surface area of 100ft^2.

a) Express the volume of the box as a function of x.

  1. 1) (i think) you can reduce the 3/6 to 1/2 so you get (x^2)^-1)/(3x^-3).

        (x^2)^-1) is equivalent to x^-2 so you have (x^-2)/(3x^-3).

    You can bring the -3 exponent up above the line and it becomes positive and adds to the -2 exponent so if i did it right you should get x/2x

    2) Domain is all the possible values for x.

         Range is all the possible values for y.

    3) a. V(x)=yx^2
