Math...just need some help..?

The bus fare in a city is $1.75. People who use the bus have the option of purchasing a monthly coupon book for $28.00. With the coupon book, the fare is reduced to $0.75. Determine the number of times in a month the bus must be used so that the total monthly cost without the coupon book is the same as the total monthly cost with the coupon book.

How do you solve it and what's the answer?

so as above:

1.75x=0.75x+28.00$

so 1.75x-0.75x=1x or x

so now ur equation is left @ x=28

so the answer is 28 days :)

the answer is 28

combine similar terms

1.75x-0.75x = 28

x=28

to find x , i would use guessing so start with about 30 and if the numbers are too high use ur brain and pick a lower number i dont think x could be less than 20. i dont know how to figure it out cuz im only in the 8th grade but hope this helps!! =]
