Math...order of operations. Help!?

Use the order of operations to simplify the expression:

6(-4) -3(-4) divided by 2-8

= (6[- 4] - 3[- 4])/(2 - 8)

= (- 24 + 12)/- 6

= - 12/- 6

= 2

but i could be wrong i havent used the order of operations in a while.

Do the multiplies and divides first, left to right:

-24 - 3(-4) ÷ 2 - 8

-24 - (-12) ÷ 2 - 8

-24 - (-6) - 8

Last, do add/subtract, left to right:

-18 - 8
