Math people help with mean median and mode please!!?

heres the question i dont understand it:

1. write and solve an equation to find the value of x.

3.8, 4.2, 5.3, x; mean 4.8

PLEASE HELP and please write the answer and how to do it.

(3.8+4.2+5.3+x) / 4 = 4.8

3.8+4.2+5.3+x  = 19.2

13.3+x = 19.2

x=5.9

The mean is the sum divided by how many numbers there were.

So 4.8 = (3.8 + 4.2 + 5.3 + x)/4

Now multiply both sides by 4: 19.2 = 3.8 + 4.2 + 5.3 + x

then subtract all those decimals with the x from both sides so all that's left is the x
