Question

let feta be an angle in standard position. in which quadrant or quadrants can feta( the angle) lie under the given conditions?

-sin feta(angle) =cos feta(angle) #1

sin feta<0 and cos feta<0 #2

please do as many as you can and please show work i need to know how to do it

sin, cos and tan are all positive in quadrant 1.

sin is positive in quadrant 2.

tan is positive in quadrant 3.

cos is positive in quadrant 4.

From those three ratios, all other cases give a negative result.

1.

If sin(x) = - cos(x), then:

tan(x) = - 1

x is in quadrants 2 or 4.

2.

If sin(x) &lt; 0 and cos(x) &lt; 0, then:

x is in quadrant 3.
