1)solve the quadratic inequality by graphing an appropriate quadratic function.

x^2-11x+30>=0

2)find a general form equation for the line through the pair of points.

(-1,-3) and (-1,1)

3)SAME AS ABOVE

(3,5) and (6,-4)

4)write in scientific notation

8439

5)simplify

(3x^4)^3z^4/3z^7

6) find the midpoint

-5.4,11.1

7)SAME AS ^^

-6,-16

8)find the value of y for which (x,2) and (8,y) are points on the graph

2x+3y=5

THANKS TO WHOEVER TAKES THE TIME TO HELP ME!!

  1. Hmmm....high school algebra....I don't remember all of it. :)

#4. Scientific notation is in the form of 1.23 x 10 squared. Hope that is enough help for you.

#6&7 Midpoint is the average. Add and divide by two.

#8 For (x,2), plug in 2 for y and solve for x. For (8,y), plug in 8 for x and solve for y.

    Hope this helps...

  2. 1)solve the quadratic inequality by graphing an appropriate quadratic function.

    x^2-11x+30>=0

    (x -5)(x-6)≥0

    x≥5 and/or x ≥6

    (I hope that helps)

2)find a general form equation for the line through the pair of points.

    (-1,-3) and (-1,1)

    3)SAME AS ABOVE

    (3,5) and (6,-4)

This site will solve it AND explain it to you:

    4)write in scientific notation

    8439

You need one number before the decimal point, then x10 to the appropriate exponent:

    8.439 x 10^3

    5)simplify

    (3x^4)^3z^4/3z^7

I can't tell what is part of the exponent here

    Is it [(3x^4)^3 *z^4]/3z^7 = (3x^4)^3 / 3z^3 = 9x^12/ z^3

    6) find the midpoint

    -5.4,11.1

Find the half way point between the two x values (half way between -5 and 11 is 3).  Do the same for the y values, and your midpoint is (3,?)

    7)SAME AS ^^

    -6,-16

8)find the value of y for which (x,2) and (8,y) are points on the graph

    2x+3y=5

    If (8, y) is a point, then

    2(8) + 3y = 5

    solve for y
