Math problem...inequalities?

I need help with a math problem. We're supposed to write an inequality to solve this. I really just need the inequality, so if you can just help me out, that would be great:

Between 15,000 cubic yd and 16,000 cubic yds of earth must be trucked away from a construction site. The trucks can remove 1000 cubic yds per day , and 10,500 cubic yds has already been removed. How many days are needed?

Any help would be appreciated.

  1. well first remember that 10500 has already been removed so that means there's between 4500 and 5500 yards left, and he can truck 1000 in a day, and since its 4500, that means it will take five days because yeah and 5500 will take 6 days because yeah... ... i can give you the inequality... for me it was (dont read on if you dont want to know)

    its:

    6 >_ x >_ 5

ps. i dont have a "greather than or equal too"/"less than or equal too" symbol on my thing, but >_  is what its supposed to mean
