  1. is it multiple choice or not? Well I think my answer is wrong but I got $2613. 33 14 * 16 * .5 equals 112 equals (area)  divide by 3 to get all numbers in yards and it's 27 1/3 and now multiply that by $70 and that's how you get 2613.33 check that and make sure that sounds right because something is telling me it isn't right but something is telling me that is. LOL

  2. 1 yard is equivalent to 3 feet, this means a cubic yard = 9 feet.

6in is equivalent to 0.5 feet. Then the math:

    14ft by16ft by 0.5ft, gives you 112 cubic feet.

Since one cubic yard is 9 cubic ft, what of 112 cubic feet.

divide 112 cubic ft by 9 cubic ft that gives you 12.4444. Then multiply this by $70 per yard which gives you $871.11.

    Hope that was a help

  3. There are 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard (NOT 9), since there are 3 feet in a yard and 3 cubed (i.e. 3*3*3) = 27.

Work out the area of the slab in cubic feet (i.e. 14*16*0.5) which is 112 cubic feet.

So 112 cubic feet of concrete = 4.148 cubic yards which would cost $290.37.
