Math problem. related to the Pascal Triangle?

the problems are

(1-1/x)^4

(-x^2+1/x)^5

please explain the pascal triangle too if you can.

  1. is there an = in your problem?  i can't help otherwise.

    pascal's triangle is constructed by adding numbers next to each other on the same level and putting the answer between and below them.  like this:

    *************1              

    **********1*****1

    ********1****2****1

    *****1****3****3****1

    **1****4****6****4****1

    and so on.

    you'll need this stuff for chemistry.

            

    the triangle didn't come out right without the * so just ignore them.


  2. are you trying to graph/solve/expand the problems? Pascal tringle is where you start from one, then have two ones, add one and one and get one, two one, then one three,three one etc, look at the two sites to get it because it's a bit hard to explain like this, watch the animation on wiki
