  1. 200 = n( 4.00-1.80 ) -100...First expand or multiply it out:

    200 = 4n - 1.8n - 100........Then combine 4n and -1.8n:

    200 = 2.2n - 100...............Then add 100 to both sides:

    300 = 2.2n.......................Then divide both sides by 2.2:

    136.36 = n

  2. first distribute to get

    200=4n-1.8n-100

    combine like terms

    200=2.2n-100

    add 100 to both sides

    300=2.2n

    divide by 2.2 on both sides to get

    136.3636(repeating)=n

  3. 200 = n(4.00 - 1.80) - 100

    n(2.2) = 200 + 100

    2.2n = 300

    11n = 1,500

    n = 1,500/11 or 136 4/11

    Answer: n = 1,500/11 or 136 4/11

    Proof:

    200 = 1,500/11(4.00 - 1.80) - 100

    200 = 1,500/11(2.2) - 100

    200 = 3,300/11 - 100

    200 = 300 - 100

    200 = 200

  4. 200-100=n(4.00-1.80)

    100=n(2.20)

    100=n(22/10)

    n=100*10/22

    n=1000/22

    n=45.45

  5. 200= 4n-1.80n-100

    200=2.20n-100

    300=2.20n

    1.363636 and so on...= n

  6. problem: 200= n(4-1.80)-100

    use pemdas

    200=2.20n-100

    use the additive property of equality-- add 100 to both sides

    200+100=2.20n-100+100

    300=2.20n

    divide both sides by 2.20-- use the property of equality to islolate the variable

    n=136.363636

    thats how i would do it, and im pretty sure thats right
