  1. SLEEPING WITH A BOOK UNDER YOUR PILLOW WILL MAKE YOU SMART BUT MOM SAID MAG NUTRUPLEX IT HAS BRAIN BUSTING IRONS THAT MAKES KIDS SMart

  2. slow down your thinking process and practice thinking step by step, methodically.

  3. Go back to the basics. Your problems with math probably started in the 3rd or 4th grade. Run a google search for 3rd grade math and practice some of the worksheets. Most will have the answers readily available. Work your way up to pre-Algebra. Concentrate on the areas that are giving you the most trouble. If you find you can't do it on your own, talk to your parents about hiring a tutor or going to one of the tutoring centers (Kaplan, Princeton Review). Your teacher may also be able to help. See if your school has a free tutoring program.

Sometimes, all you have to do is practice, practice, practice. Treat math like a foreign language. If you don't use it, you lose it. You've got to practice it to make it stick. If your teacher assigns 5 problems, do 10. It may seem like a lot of extra work, but it will help.

You can always come here and ask for help. Try to only use answers where an explanation or step-by-step solution is given. Try your homework on your own, then ask us to check your work. Your parents can probably help you with a lot of it, though I know it's hard to ask them for help. You can do it, it might just take you longer and you might need to find a different way to get to the right answer.

    Good luck, you'll do fine.

  4. All you have to do is study everyday, everynight...

  5. form a group study, to seek a tutor, find the nerds.

  6. Math is not like many subjects that need memorize stuff. The cardinal rule in Math is: practice, practice, practice. Unlike other subjects, there is more than one way to solve problems that is considered valid. I suggest you try to understand how the formula and theory works rather than memorizing out. Solving practice problems won't hurt either. Don't be afraid to ask questions from your teacher if you don't understand the concepts.
