Please help, i don't understand.

1) 5/6 / 4/5 + 5/6 x 5/7

~5 over 6 divide 4 over 5 plus 5 over 6 multiply 5 over 7~ #1-detail

2) 6-2x=5x-9x+10

  1. 2) take the similar functions (5x,9x,2x) and deal with them first so 5x-9x= -4x then take that -4x and add it over to -2x making it positive 2x. then subtract the 6 over to the 10 on the right side of the equation to get 2x=4 which simplifies to x=2.

  2. 1.) 5/6 is a fraction, as is 4/5. You need to do divide two fractions. To do this you multiply the reciprocal of the other number.

    Example

    5/6 / 4/5 = 5/6 * 5/4 = 25/24

    To do 5/6 * 5/4 you just take 5 * 5 and put that over 6 * 4.

2.) This is a more difficult algebra problem. To do these problems you want to solve to get X on one side and by itself. To do this I would put all like terms on one side.

    Example:

    6-2x=5x-9x+10

    = -2x = 5x - 9x + 4  >>> I subtracted 6 from both sides

    = -4 = -9x + 5x + 2x  >>> I subtracted 4 from both sides and added 2x

    Now add like terms

    -4 = -9x + 5x + 2x

    = -4 = -2x

    And Solve from there.

Hopefully this helps, a great site to help you out if you need further help is http://www.algebrahelp.com/

The calculators of this site are amazing, but please don't just use them to answer your question, you must understand these concepts to further your education.

    Good luck!

  3. 1.)try same change flip for the first problem then multiply so it would be

(5/6) times (4/5) plus (5/6) times (5/7) which gives you

    (24/25)plus (42/25) which equals

    66/25

the problem takes a bunch of basic fraction principles and runs them togeather if you just divide the problem up and work on it piece by piece it will become alot easier

    2.)6-2x=5x-9x+10

      -6                 -6

         -2x=5x-9x+4

        -2x=-4x+4

       +4x  +4x

         2x=4

divide both sides by two and you get the answer x=2
