  1. You have to cross multiply.

    1. So first multiply 5x+2 times 4

    4(5x+2)

    2. Then x-6 times 3.

    3(x-6)

    3. Set them equal to each other.

    4(5x+2)=3(x-6)

    4. Now distribute.

    20x + 8 = 3x - 18

    5. Now combine like terms by subtracting 3x from both sides, and subtracting 8 from both sides:

    17X = -26

    x= -26/17

  2. Multiply all with 12

    then we have

    20x+8=3x-18

    17x=-26

    x=-26/17 -1  9/17

    I hope it was helpful

    good luck!

  3. start by getting both fractions on one side of an equation that is equal to zero.   (5x+2)/3  -  (x-6)/4  = 0

    Try it from here

  4. (5x + 2)/3 = (x - 6)/4

    => 4(5x +2) = 3(x - 6)

    => 20x + 8 = 3x - 18

    => 20x - 3x = - 18 - 8

    => 17x = - 26

    => x = - 26/17<==ANSWER

  5. First multiply both sides of the eqn. by 12 to eliminate the denominators:

    Why 12?Because it is the LCM of both denominators (3 & 4):

    12 [(5x + 2)/3] = [(x - 6)/4] 12

    4 (5x + 2) = (x - 6) 3

    20x + 8 = 3x -18

    20x - 3x = -18 - 8

    17x = -26

    x = -26/17
