  1. PEMDAS.

    Parenthesis

    Exponent

    Multiplication

    Division

    Addition

    Subtraction.

Start by doing what is in the parenthesis. 24/3 is.... 8

So then you do the next step. Since exponents aren't there, move on to either division or multiplication (it doesn't matter either way).

    5+8*7

    8*7 = 56

So you move onto the final step

    5+56=61

  2. multiply first 24/3 x 7= 168/3 reduce to 56

    5+56=61

  3. so what you have do:

    1) 7/1 x 24/3 (or even easier, 7 x 8) = 56

    2) 56 + 5 = 61!

  4. This becomes 5+8*7

    Which is 5+56

    Answer is 61

  5. when i did the math problem i got 61 (not 100% sure, but pretty sure)  . . .  i think i took 24/3 *7 and i reduced the 24/3 to 8/1 which equals 8. Multiplied 8 and 7 and got 56 and then added 5.  . . . .. . hope that helps
