how to write an inequality in set notation describing a range of temperatures (t).

say if the range is from 2 to 100

would i write the set notation as:

{ 100 > t > 2 }

is that what set notation is? putting the inequality in the brackets?

please help

  1. 2 < t < 100 --- better.

    Or {t / 2 < t < 100}


  2. almost :

    {2 <= t <= 100}

    that <= sign is written with a < and one extra line parallel with the underside of the <

    set notation is describing with mathematical symbols what the "range" of the set is.
