1. In order to FIND the answer to this question you can begin with the numbers you've been given.

In this case, you have 3, 12, 192 and 768. One way to find the connection between the numbers is by taking the number that comes second and finding the mathematical equation from which the number came:

The first two numbers are 3 and 12. How did they go from 3 to 12?

Well 12 - 3 = 9. So it could have been by adding 9. But if you add 9 to 192, you only get 201, so that's probably not the equation. Let's try dividing it. 12 / 3 = 4. Does this apply to the next two numbers?

    768 / 192 = 4.

Yes it does! So the common mathematical factor between the two sets of numbers is that the first number is multiplied by 4.

    3 x 4 = 12.

    12 x 4 = 48

    48 x 4 = 192

    192 x 4 = 768

    768 x 4 = 3,072

    3,072 x 4 = 12,288

Hopefully that helps not just to give you the answer, but now you will know how to GET the answer!!

    Good luck!

  2. 48 3072 12288 times everything by 4

  3. 3x2^0, 3x2^2, 3x2^4, 3x2^6, 3x2^8, 3x2^10, 3x2^12

    =

    3, 12, 48, 192, 768, 3072, 12288

  4. 48

    3,072

    12,288

    just multiply everything by 4

  5. each number is 4 times the last one, so first blank is 48, you figure the other two.

  6. You add the number together 4 times to get the next number. Or Times the number by 4. So 3 x 4 = 12 and 12 X 4 =48 and so on. . . .
