Determine the number of men the company needs to hire to unload the cement within one working day.

2. Four people, A,B,C and D received a total dividend amount of $6,000 for an investment in a profitable company and the current share price is $1.50. If A holds a total share amount of 500, B has 2000, C has 2500 and the rest to D. How much share does D has.

3. An administrator has 5 assistant staff and two secretaries in their Manhattan office. The office assistants can each type 12 pages per hour and the secretaries 20 pages per hour. The working day is between 09am to 5pm with compulsory one hour break. If the administrator has a document of 500 pages to be typed and finished within one day, how many more office assistants does he has to engage in order to produce the document in a day.

4. A company Y sold 250 units of chocolate at a net profit margin of $0.20 per unit and the total cost of the chocolate consignment was $50. How much did the company get from the sale of the chocolate consignment?

5. If one side of a rectangle measures 10cm and the total area of the shape is 300sq.cm, what is the perimeter of the rectangle?

6. During a recent winter season there were 5 times as many deer as foxes and 4 times as many Wolves as foxes. If the total animal population was 3000, then how many were foxes wolves and deer respectively.

7. In a magazine of 20 pages, 12 pages are devoted to news text, 6 pages to advertisement and the rest to cartoons. What per cent of the magazine is used for cartoons?

8. A man runs at a constant speed of 5km per hour and wishes to participate in a fundraising marathon for a period of 3 and half hours. What distance would he have covered in the marathon?

9. A company Z borrows a total amount of $1.6 million from Chase Manhattan bank and wishes to pay it in a period of 5 years. If the bank charges a simple interest of 2.5% on the capital sum borrowed, how much would the company Z pay at the end of the loan period.

    Total share value is $ 6000. One share is $ 1.50 so there are 6000/1.50 = 4000 shares

    A holds $ 500 (the word 'amount' is mentioned)

    B holds $ 2000

    C holds $ 2500

    Total amount by A B C = $ 5000. Leftover: $1000 of $ 1.50 each.

    So D holds $ 1000/1.50 = 666 shares.
